This is a traditional recipe with a new twist. Tender beans and crispy celery are wrapped in a delicious and simple vinaigrette dressing. The perfect addition to any gathering!

Ingredients for Easy Potluck Four Bean Salad.

What You’ll Need to Make Easy Potluck Four Bean Salad

  • Canned Beans – For convenience, we use drained, canned green beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans and yellow wax beans. 15 ounce cans each.

  • Onion – Chopped purple onion adds great flavor and extra color, as well as adding a bit of a crunch to the salad. Any onion may be substituted.

  • Celery – Chopped. The 2nd secret ingredient for adding a fresh crunch to this salad.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar – A mild, slightly sweet apple flavored fermented vinegar. You can substitute white vinegar but there may be a more noticeable and sharper vinegar flavor.

  • Pantry Staples – White sugar, vegetable oil & salt & pepper.

How to make Easy Potluck Four Bean Salad

Easy Potluck Four Bean Salad is a wonderful addition to any BBQ, picnic or potluck because it is tasty, easy to make, and transports well.

This is a traditional recipe with a new twist. Tender beans and zingy vinaigrette with a little chopped celery for an unexpected but delicious crunch.

Yellow beans,green beans, garbanzo beans and kidney beans drained, rinsed and in a bowl.

Drain all beans and rinse. Add to a large bowl.

Chopped celery and onion on a cutting board.

Chop onion and celery and add to bowl.

Vinaigrette ingredients for Easy Potluck Four Bean Salad in a bowl with a whisk, prior to mixing.

In a small bowl or measuring cup combine vinegar, sugar, oil, salt and pepper. Whisk together until sugar completely has dissolved.

Adding vinaigrette to beans, celery and onions in the bowl, prior to mixing.

Pour mixture over the beans, onion and celery in the bowl and stir until completely coated.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, stirring before serving. Enjoy!
