How to Make Bite Sized Sausage Rolls

When I met my husband, his Mom made the BEST sausage rolls that I have ever tasted. They were flaky and light, and she served them on a platter with cocktail sauce for dipping. That platter was always the first one empty.

Before you begin

There aren’t many ingredients in this recipe. You’ll need one package of thawed frozen puff pastry (thawed in the fridge) and one 16 ounce package of regular premium pork sausage.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with silicone pads, parchment paper, or lightly spray both with cooking spray. Set aside.

Remove one sheet of puff pastry and unfold on a lightly floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough until it becomes a 9 x 13 rectangle.

Then cut a one pound package of regular pork sausage in half and set one half aside.

Separate the pork sausage into two parts and evenly distribute up the middle of each long pastry rectangle.

Hi Tammy! They really are. They also freeze well for easy reheating at a later date but my family eats them too fast so I never get the chance to freeze them. Thanks for commenting!
