This sauce has been great on tacos, One Pan Chicken Fajitas, Oven Baked Taco Casserole, and on our Easy Baked Enchiladas. We have also used it on grilled salmon. It is a simple, versatile and delicious addition to all the things!
What You’ll Need to Make Cilantro Lime Crema
- Sour Cream – regular or light sour cream or go even lighter by using Greek yogurt instead.
- Lime – one small lime, juiced or two tablespoons of bottled lime juice.
- Fresh Cilantro – about 1 tablespoon, chopped. Substitute fresh parsley if you don’t like cilantro.
- Pantry Spices – garlic powder, salt & pepper.
How to make Cilantro Lime Crema
This delicious Cilantro Lime Crema is super easy to make and can be made ahead of time. This simple sauce brings a bright burst of freshness to tacos, enchiladas and even fish!
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. The cilantro needs to be coarsely chopped but you can chop it finely if you prefer. Feel free to substitute fresh parsley if you don’t like cilantro!
Stir until well combined then refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld. Stir before serving.
When ready to use, generously spoon onto tacos, enchiladas, fish or whatever you like. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days Enjoy!

Cilantro Lime Crema
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 small lime juiced
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- pinch salt & pepper
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
