Bright and cheerful, these Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies have deliciously crispy edges and chocolate in every bite!

There’s nothing like a cookie, warm from the oven, to make you feel like a kid again. Crispy edges and soft, buttery insides with the perfect ratio of M&M’s and chocolate chips make these cookies a favorite in our house.

These cookies are the perfect size and consistency. They are great for sharing because they are hearty and transport well. Seasonal M&M’s mean that they can be customized for any party or holiday too!

How to Make Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip M&M Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line two baking sheets with silicone baking pads or parchment paper.

In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream together the butter and sugars.

Add the eggs and vanilla to the bowl and mix until incorporated.

Add the flour, baking soda and salt and mix until completely combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and 1 cup of the M&M’s.

Using a large cookie scoop (about 3 tablespoons), scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, placing cookies about 2 inches apart.

Bake the cookies for 12 minutes until slightly browned on the edges.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes.

Push the extra M&M’s into the still warm cookies on the baking sheet if desired. Cool slightly before serving.

Store in an airtight container or zip top bag for up to 3 days. Enjoy!

  • 1 cup butter softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar packed

  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 package M&M's Chocolate candies 10 oz, divided
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • Add the eggs and vanilla to the bowl and mix until incorporated.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips and 1 cup of the M&M’s.
  • Using a large cookie scoop (about 3 tablespoons), scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, placing cookies about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake the cookies for 12 minutes until slightly browned on the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Push the extra M&M's into the still warm cookies on the baking sheet if desired. Cool slightly before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container or zip top bag for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
