- Cilantro – fresh cilantro, rinsed and finely chopped.
- Salt – regular table salt or fine sea salt may be used.
Cooking Rice in An Instant Pot
We don’t use our Instant Pot very often but it is our go to when we need cooked rice. It is so convenient and the rice comes out perfectly every time!
Here’s our process:
- Measure the rice and then, using a fine mesh strainer, rinse the rice.
- Place the rice into the Instant Pot and add an equal amount of chicken broth.
- Stir and secure the Instant Pot lid.
- Pressure cook on high using the rice setting when cooking white rice. For brown rice, we triple the time.
- Allow the Instant Pot to release pressure naturally, then remove the lid.
- Fluff with a fork and serve or allow to cool naturally and store in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to three days.
