Method
- Turn Instant Pot to saute setting and add sesame oil and olive oil. Generously season the steak with salt and pepper.
- When oil is hot, add steak and saute until browned, about 10 minutes.
- Add onions and garlic to the instant pot. Stir and continue to saute until onions are tender, about 5 more minutes.
- In a small bowl or a measuring cup, combine beef broth, soy sauce and brown sugar. Stir well until sugar dissolves. Pour into the instant pot over the meat mixture.
- Seal the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
- While cooking, warm the broccoli and the rice.
- Once cooking time is up, release the pressure immediately and remove the lid.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of water into 1 tablespoon cornstarch and pour into beef mixture. Stir until well combined. The mixture should start to thicken immediately.
- Add cooked broccoli into the mixture and stir to coat.
- Serve immediately over warmed rice. Enjoy!
