- Preheat the oven to 330 degrees F with the rack in the middle. Generously spray two large baking sheets with cooking spray or line with silicone baking mats (or parchment paper). Set aside.
- In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir and set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer using the whisk attachment (or with a hand mixer) cream the butter, brown sugar, and powdered sugar on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time and mix until incorporated. Add vanilla and mix in, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
- Reduce speed on the mixer to medium low and slowly add in the flour mixture, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed, mixing until the flour mixture is completely incorporated.
- Remove the bowl from the stand mixer and add the chocolate chips. Using a spoon, fold in the chocolate chips until they are well distributed through the cookie dough.
- Portion out the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets using a 2 inch cookie scoop, leaving room between.
- Place into the oven one baking sheet at a time, baking for 14-17 minutes until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned. Remove from the oven and repeat with second baking sheet of cookies.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet and serve immediately. Store at room temperature in a zip top bag or a covered container. Enjoy!
