Method
- Heat olive oil in the Instant Pot on the saute setting. Add garlic and cook one minute to soften.
- Add ground beef and spicy sausage and break up. Cook for about 4-6 minutes until browned.
- Add chopped peppers and onions and stir. Cook for about a minute.
- Pour in beef broth, add stewed tomatoes, water and marinara sauce. Stir.
- Add black beans and kidney beans. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, kosher salt & pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Place the top onto the instant pot and set to cook for one hour.
- When the hour has passed, turn the instant pot off and allow the pressure to naturally release. This can take up to another hour but is important in order to soften the beans.
- Stir and serve immediately with shredded cheese and jalapeno slices if desired. Enjoy!
