Method
- Preheat the air fryer at 380 degrees F for at least 5 minutes.
- Cut off the top of the garlic bulb and place the bulb cut side up in the center of a square piece of aluminum foil.
- Pour the olive oil on top of the garlic and spread it all over the surface. Bring the sides of the foil up and around garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper. Twist the ends of the foil, sealing the garlic inside.
- Air fry 18 to 20 minutes until the garlic is softened and caramelized. Allow to cool slightly before opening the foil,and open carefully as hot steam will escape.
- Remove garlic cloves from their papery casings before using. Use whole, mashed, as a spread or mixed in to your favorite condiments, dressings or sauces. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
