Surprisingly easy to make, this thick and flavorful Homemade Red Enchilada Sauce uses ingredients from your pantry to bring  the flavors of Mexico right into your kitchen!

Ingredients – olive oil – flour – chili powder – cumin – garlic powder – dried oregano – tomato paste – chicken broth – apple cider vinegar  – salt & pepper

In a small bowl combine the dry spice ingredients so the flour mixture is ready to go.

Have the flour mixture, tomato paste and chicken broth ready to go as the sauce comes together quickly!

Whisk in the flour mixture followed by the tomato paste.

Whisk the chicken broth into the mixture until it is smooth.

Simmer 5 to 7 minutes until the sauce has visibly thickened.

Stir in the cider vinegar and black pepper.

Allow to cool slightly and use immediately, refrigerate or freeze. Enjoy!
